We have two adjoining self contained cabins. One cabin is occupied on a long term basis. The other is available for short term rental.
The cabin accommodates 2 people and is next to the Bellinger River with the Bellinger River National Park on the opposite bank.
It is comfortable, clean and well furnished. It includes:
- one queen sized bed, bed linen, 2 towels.
- refrigerator with milk, juice, bread, cereal butter, jams and marmalades and sometimes other things depending on the season.
- cutlery, crockery, glasses, toaster, jug, saucepans, fry pan, utensils, tea towels, detergent, etc.
- cook top and sink.
- fly screening.
- bathroom with shower and WC.
- separate laundry, clothes line, pegs, detergent.

Other points to note:
- Cooked breakfast served on our river view pavilion can be arranged at extra cost.
- We are happy to show you the location of bush walks and local attractions.
- The cabins are close to the river and a deep swimming hole. A canoe and life-saver shaped ring are available for use in the river at no extra cost.
- Darkwood Road is a dead end and is tarred up to our property.
- There is no television, radio or mobile phone coverage (except if you have a high gain aerial).
- There is no air conditioning. Each cabin has an electric fan and a heater.
- Smoking is permitted outside.
- The retreat is approximately 29 km (30 min drive) from Bellingen and 15 km (20 min drive) from the nearest shop, which sells groceries, petrol and alcohol, and is a post office. Coffs Harbour is a 50 min drive.
- Pets and children under 18 years are not permitted.
- Power failures sometimes occur. If the power goes out, you will need to rely on lamps and candles. These are supplied.
- Flooding can occur - usually during summer. Depending on a flood's severity, bridges may be impassable and you may not be able to get out to any shops or services for a number of days.

2-6 Nights $80 per night
7 Nights or more $70 per night
A booking deposit of 50% is required to confirm your reservation either by a posted cheque or as a direct credit into our bank. Please contact us for details.
